El secretari general de Solidaritat (SI), Uriel Bertran, ha valorat aquest matí la multa de 24 MEUR imposada pel govern espanyol a la Generalitat per no haver pagat a temps les quotes de la Seguretat Social del mes de setembre com a conseqüència del retard de l'arribada del rescat. La Generalitat va rebre ahir els 568 MEUR que necessitava per fer els pagaments pendents a proveïdors i als centres que gestionen serveis socials concertats, alguns dels quals també han hagut d'ajornar el pagament de les nòmines als treballadors. 

Bertran ha titllat de “xantatge i extorsió” aquesta actitud del govern espanyol i ha reclamat a la Generalitat “que no pagui els 24 MEUR de multa que li reclama el govern espanyol per pagar tard a la Seguretat Social” i ha afirmat que “acceptar el xantatge i les multes del govern espanyol és contradictori amb el procés sobiranista iniciat pel poble de Catalunya”. 

Finalment, el diputat de SI ha dit que “un President que vol iniciar un procés d'independència ha de ser valent i atrevir-se a dir 'no' a injustícies com aquesta”. Per tot això ha exigit a Mas “que faci un #novullpagar al xantatge d'Espanya”.
